Group therapy can be intimidating versus individual therapy, but there are many benefits to group therapy:
It exposes you to different perspectives.
It creates more accountability. A scheduled commitment can also help ground you.
It has been proven to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
It offers more support through creating meaningful and authentic connections in a safe environment.
It is more affordable than individual therapy.
What is the cost of group therapy?
The fee for group therapy may be covered in whole or part by your private health insurance/employee benefits plan. Please note that obtaining reimbursement from an insurance company is the responsibility of each client. You are encouraged to contact your insurance provider directly for details of your coverage, to verify that group therapy services will be covered by your policy and any conditions of this coverage.
What if I need to miss a group?
Because so much information is covered in each group session, regular and consistent attendance is strongly recommended. You may still participate in some groups but you must contact your facilitator. Please note that the full fee for the group will still apply even if you are unable to complete the group.
How do I sign up?
