Who the 6-Week Trauma Reset Is For?

This program is for you if:

You look “strong” or “put together” on the outside, but feel anxious, numb, exhausted or on edge inside. You’re a professional, parent, leader or caregiver who is used to being the strong one for everyone else. You cope with stress by overworking, people pleasing, caretaking, scrolling, emotional eating or drinking and you’re starting to worry it’s catching up with you. You can see how past experiences – family conflict, emotional neglect, racism, church trauma, relationship wounds still affect your reactions now. You don’t want endless, open-ended therapy. You want a clear, time-limited trauma plan. This program has a special focus on Black women, immigrants and Black LGBTQ+ professionals, and is open to anyone who resonates with this experience of carrying a lot and coping alone.

What You’ll Get From the 6-Week Trauma Reset?

  • A clearer understanding of how trauma and stress live in your body and nervous system.

  • Processed key memories, patterns or beliefs using EMDR and other trauma tools.

  • Practical grounding, regulation and boundary skills you can use in real life.

  • Less shame around how you cope (work, wine, food, busyness) and more self-compassion.

  • A concrete aftercare plan so you know what to keep doing once the program ends.

How the 6-Week Trauma Reset Works

  • 6 weekly 1:1 online sessions (about 50–60 minutes each).

  • A mix of nervous system education, EMDR/Flash and integration.

  • Focus on 1–2 core patterns you are ready to shift.

    You can expect a flow like this:

    Weeks 1–2: Safety & Mapping Your Story
    We clarify your goals, understand how your nervous system responds to stress and identify the main themes we’ll focus on. We build grounding tools, so your system feels as safe as possible before deeper work.

  • Weeks 3–4: Trauma & EMDR Work
    We use EMDR and other trauma-focused approaches to process key memories, images or beliefs connected to your current symptoms (for example, “I have to do everything,” “I’m never safe,” or “If I rest, I’ll lose everything”). We move at your pace and check your window of tolerance throughout.

  • Weeks 5–6: Integration & Your Plan Going Forward
    We notice what feels different, strengthen new beliefs and skills and co-create a plan for boundaries, rest and continued care. We’ll decide together whether to transition into ongoing therapy or pause to integrate.

    All sessions are online, and you must be physically in Nova Scotia, British Columbia or Ontario at the time of each session.

I’m a Black woman trauma therapist offering online trauma, EMDR and addiction support for high-achieving adults in Nova Scotia, BC and Ontario. I work with professionals, parents and leaders who are used to being the strong one while quietly falling apart inside.

I bring a trauma-informed, culturally safe and anti-oppressive lens to our work and understand the impact of racism, migration, family roles, church and work culture on your mental health. You don’t have to spend the whole time educating me about why these things matter before we can begin.

Who This Program Is Not For

This program is probably not the best fit if:

  • You are in active crisis or need emergency or inpatient support.

  • You are currently in a situation that is not safe (for example, ongoing violence) and have no other supports.

  • You have no space at all in your life to pause, reflect or try new skills between sessions.

  • You are looking for a quick “fix” without any emotional work or self-reflection.

  • If any of this applies, we can still have a brief conversation, and I can suggest other supports that may be more appropriate.

  • The program is designed as a 6-week container, because focused work over a defined time can create meaningful change. You are never trapped. We’ll talk in our consultation about whether this timing is realistic for you, and we can adjust if something major comes up.

  • We start with safety and stabilization. You’ll learn grounding and regulation tools before we touch deeper material. We only move into EMDR when you feel ready, and you can always ask to pause or slow down.

  • Many people choose to continue in regular weekly or bi-weekly therapy after the program. In Weeks 5–6 we’ll talk honestly about what you need next and whether ongoing support makes sense.
